Our comprehensive 8-hour class is a crucial component of the 16-hour training required for Child care providers, day care workers, new home day care providers, and individuals working with children. This EMSA-approved class is mandatory for those planning to open their own home day care. Additionally, the remaining 8 hours needed for child care licensing include the Health and Safety class, which covers the 2016 Nutrition unit and the 2020 lead unit.
This course will teach you how to respond to illnesses and injuries with children and infants during an emergency before professional help arrives.
This class must be renewed every 2 years.
* Additionally, the remaining eight hours needed for childcare licensing include the EMSA Health & Safety Class (click here to register for said Health & Safety course) class, which covers the 2016 nutrition unit and 2020 lead unit not included in this class.
